One kiss could be the last.
Seventeen-year-old Layla just wants to be normal. But with a kiss that kills anything with a soul, she's anything but normal. Half demon, half gargoyle, Layla has abilities no one else possesses.
Raised among the Wardens—a race of gargoyles tasked with hunting demons and keeping humanity safe—Layla tries to fit in, but that means hiding her own dark side from those she loves the most. Especially Zayne, the swoon-worthy, incredibly gorgeous and completely off-limits Warden she's crushed on since forever.
Then she meets Roth—a tattooed, sinfully hot demon who claims to know all her secrets. Layla knows she should stay away, but she's not sure she wants to—especially when that whole no-kissing thing isn't an issue, considering Roth has no soul.
But when Layla discovers she's the reason for the violent demon uprising, trusting Roth could not only ruin her chances with Zayne…it could brand her a traitor to her family. Worse yet, it could become a one-way ticket to the end of the world.
If you read my about me section, you would probably know that my favorite genre is contemporary romance and that I rarely read fantasy and paranormal books. The only paranormal or fantasy books that I read are JLA ones, time-travels ones, and a tiny bit of the rest.
In this book, Jennifer Armentrout has created yet another perfect masterpiece! If you haven't read this book yet, please, I beg you, read it! I promise that you won't regret it, and that it will keep you wanting for more. With Roth and Zayne there, not a minute of your time would be wasted. ;) And the ending! Don't even get me started on that ending! I still can't quite believe that what happened really happened! I probably won't ever be able to recover from that one!
Curious about what ending I am talking about? Then go to the nearest book store now and purchase a copy of White Hot Kiss, and then proceed to reading it immediately!
I don't really expect much when it comes to fantasy, but this one definitely blew me away! Thank you, Jennifer Armentrout, for giving me a reason to try fantasy books, even though I don't like fantasy. I am definitely looking forward to reading the next books in this series. In fact, I can't wait, what with that ending! I NEED that next book!
Gosh, please let November 2014 come sooner!
